      <description><![CDATA[<div><b>RUTTGER'S BAY LAKE RESORT</b></div><p><ul></ul><p><b>BANQUET &amp; EVENTS TEAM MEMBER</b></p><p><b>SUMMARY:<br> </b>Ruttgerâ€™s Bay Lake Resort is seeking personable, positive, and professional individuals who enjoy working as a team, but are also able to work independently while remaining on task to assure the best possible overall guest experience. As a banquet and event team member our goal is to create a memorable event and dining experience while providing friendly, attentive, and timely service for weddings, corporate groups, family reunions, holiday parties, and other such catering events.<span> </span><b></b></p> <p><b>EXPECTATIONS:<br> </b>The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ruttgerâ€™s further expects every employee to exhibit stellar guest service and a regular attendance record.<b></b></p> <p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</b></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Responsible for the set-up and breakdown of all event spaces both indoor and outdoor, according to Banquet Event Order details while working under the instruction of the Sales &amp; Events Assistant. </span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Such responsibilities include but are not limited to set-up and tear down of tables, chairs, linens, podiums, and audio/visual.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Responsible for serving and clearing banquet, conference services, and catering events of all types and sizes.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Greets guests and delivers food and beverage from the kitchen and bar in a timely and friendly manner.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Monitor and observe events and the guestsâ€™ dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with food and services while responding promptly and courteously to any requests.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Answers questions pertaining to event function and general resort services.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Clean banquet and event spaces during and after functions.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Perform side work during each shift as assigned.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Maintain, clean, and stock service and dining areas during each shift.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Follow proper food handling practices and procedures.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span>Any and all other duties as assigned.<b></b></p> <p><b>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</b></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span>Previous knowledge of A/V equipment helpful. </p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span>One (1) year hospitality experience preferred.</p> <p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>One-year prior food and beverage service experience preferred.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team with the ability to multi-task. </span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Proper uniform is required and must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>May be required to work varying schedules.</span></p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span>Must be able to pass Ruttgerâ€™s background check.</p> <p><span>Â·<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span>Valid Driverâ€™s License.</p> <span>Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.</span></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
